As a young child I was sexually abused.  This abuse had devastating effects on my life until I finally had the courage to get the help that I desperately needed.  As I began my healing journey, I knew God wanted to use my pain to help others. It was at this point that God put the vision of Jennifer’s Harbor in my heart.  

I am often asked, “who is Jennifer?”  When I originally met Jennifer she told me her name was “Tweety.”  I remember asking her why she went by this name and she told me it was because Tweety was her favorite Looney Tune character. I called her Tweety for years until one day she said to me, “God told me I can’t go by Tweety anymore. You can only call me by my given name of Jennifer.”  I  immediately asked her the real reason she had me call her Tweety. She instantly started to cry and shared that at a young age she was diagnosed with autism. It was at this point in her life that her family stopped calling her Jennifer and instead called her Tweety. They told her she was “downright looney!”.

I instantly knew the name and vision for Jennifer’s Harbor. It is our deepest desire for every woman who walks through our door to understand that she is a a child of God, a strong princess warrior who is deeply loved by her creator. Our passion is to help each woman believe in who she was created to be and reject the lies formed through her trauma.
